Happy Thanksgiving!!

I don't really like Thanksgiving. There. I said it. I think it's bogus. We celebrate the genocide of the indigenous people of the North American continent by feasting and this shows our thanks how? People are starving all over the world (many in this very country) but rather than give thanks for what we're "fortunate" enough to have [taken from others] we cook extravagant meals and stuff our fat faces. It's not good enough to be thankful one day out of the year and eating a lot is not the way to show that thanks. This is getting way more political than I intended, so I'll move on. Even though I don't like Thanksgiving, I might as well be festive.

You Are Kermit

Like everything else in your life, you take Thanksgiving pretty seriously.
It's a time for reflection and gratitude. You also like to just sit back and observe the party.
You love Thanksgiving, but having a huge amount of people around can be a bit overwhelming.
As long as you're allowed some privacy and independence, you'll have a good Turkey Day.
What Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloon Are You?

Clearly I do take Thanksgiving seriously but I don't love it. Privacy is a big deal, I need some time to myself.  I get cranky if I'm with other people too long. Not that I don't appreciate the time I get to spend with my loved ones, because that's very important, I just hate the fact that we need a date on the calendar to get people together. It just feels forced sometimes and I don't like that.
